This is my second video of my MEJO 121 class, focused on Alli Pardue, The Daily Tar Heel’s 2025-26 Editor Chief. Pardue grew up on a farm in Hamptonville, N.C., where her family has 140 acres of land and a variety of animals.

This is my first video of my MEJO 121 class, focused on Madelyn Rowley, The Daily Tar Heel’s 2025-26 Print Managing Editor. Rowley was an opinion writer and assistant opinion editor before moving into this role in January 2026. Rowley oversees the print production cycle from Thursday to Wednesday, when the papers are placed in the blue boxes around Chapel Hill.
